International Yoga Day Celebration

Our school celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and fervour. The theme for this year, Yoga for Healthy Ageing, highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being, mobility, and an enhanced quality of life as people age.

The celebration began with Sukshma Vyayama (warm-up exercises), followed by a series of yoga asanas performed under the able guidance of Yoga Teacher, Mrs. Neelam Yadav, who demonstrated each posture and explained its health benefits. The session included standing asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Dhruvasana, Trikonasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Virabhadrasana, and Padahastasana; sitting asanas including Padmasana, Vajrasana, Sukhasana, Gomukhasana, Bhadrasana, and Balasana; Bhujangasana and Parvatasana, followed by Shavasana and relaxation exercises.

All the teachers enthusiastically participated in the yoga session and performed the various asanas with dedication. Students also joined the celebration from their homes and shared photographs of themselves practising yoga, demonstrating their active participation and understanding of the importance of yoga in leading a healthy and balanced life.

The celebration served as a reminder of the timeless benefits of yoga and inspired everyone to incorporate this invaluable practice into their daily routine for holistic health, inner peace, and overall well-being.
